Epiphany follows a Florida family preparing for a road trip to Washington, D.C., for the “Rally to Save America” on January 6, 2021. Not everyone is on board—Janie, the daughter, refuses to go, dismissing politics as pointless and choosing instead to celebrate Tres Reyes (Epiphany) with her Puerto Rican boyfriend. This doesn’t sit well with her father, Richard. But, their neighbor Alfonso rounds out the party and joins the trip. To prepare, mom Della packs sandwiches, and son Sam loads up the truck. After the events, secrets unravel, and the family faces a reckoning they may not survive. At its core, Epiphany is about family, identity, and the ideological divides that shape our country. It’s a deeply human story, confronting the dangers of Trumpism and extremism while seeking a path toward understanding.
